So the Android Wear 2.0 has finally dropped on the Moto 360 2nd edition watch. Sorry for anyone one the 1st edition. Yet this is a roll out process and not everyone is seeing the update.
If you are in this situation and find yourself with the green screen with a tick, after pressing the software update option in settings, then there is something you can do to force the update to work.
Tap…… tap like you’ve never tapped before, and even if you don’t see anything happen with a few seconds of doing it, keep tapping. A Moto user on Twitter said he managed to force the update by tapping the green screen…
Forced the update just tapping faster and faster on the green screen of the update voice. Can’t wait to test #AndroidWear2 #Moto360
Other s are also reporting on Twitter the same trick works.
So i tried too. Sure enough after about 20 seconds of tapping the screen, it all turned white followed by a message asking me to fully charge the watch for the update to start.
This shouldn’t be necessary in a few days when the roll out is complete but its good to know a little trick like this can speed up a roll out for those of us who want it. It come as we approach into the one year anniversary since Android Wear 2.0 was announced. A long time coming for Moto 360 owners, especially since the #moto360 was once deemed to king of AW smart watches.
Let us know in the comments if this worked for you too.
