Curry’s introduce 0% interest on selected tech
Early Easter is usually a quiet time for retail. UK high streets are especially struggling against online competition. We’ve already seen tech giant Maplin go into liquidation, so the high street needs to work hard at getting shoppers spending. It’s also hard for the consumer though as low pay increases have tightened people purse strings, so more and more finance options are appearing to ease the burden.
Dixons Carphone retail stores, Curry’s, introduced the YourPlan quite some time ago and its 6 month interest free has been popular for shoppers over the Christmas period. Now they are offering an extension on that deal for selected tech.
Macbook Pro buyers can opt in for a 12 month interest free option. You can expect 18 months on selected TV’s, like this LG 55″ 4k OLED TV. Camera’s like the Sony a6000 or the Fujifilm X-T20 can be bought with 12 months interest free.
It doesn’t look like this is a long term deal, as the offer is set to end at the start of April, but given the financial climate, we could expect to see more offers like this appearing throughout the year.
