5 Photography Infographics all budding photogs must have
Starting out in photography can be very daunting. I remember myself trying to wrap my head around the idea of apertures, ISO’s and shutter speeds and how they all affect each other is mind blowing. All I can say is the easiest way to understand is to experiment. Try every single setting on your camera, switch through all the aperture levels and shutter speeds, every combination you can think of. What happens when you take a slow shutter speed with large aperture, then vice versa? What happens when you take the ISO way too high in a dark room?
Shutter speed can make or break an action scene, capturing that blink of an eye moment. Sometimes the camera’s blink of a shutter is even faster enough to capture a still image the human eye would never be able to achieve.
Aperture can be the difference between capturing the whole scene, to focusing on just whats important. Through smart use of focusing and clever composition by using the golden ratio guides, you can draw your audiences eye towards the subject and the story you want to tell.
These infographics should also help explain why each setting has its uses and when to use them. As well as all the other rules to live by, like the rule of thirds and what picture size you will need. Get snapping and have these in your smartphone when you go out with your camera, as reference.
I’ll be sure to focus on each one of these in more detail in later posts.
